Crossroads Derbyshire provides domestic abuse services to adults, children and young people across the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales.

 

We are a fast-growing, passionate domestic abuse service who puts survivors at the heart of everything we do. We serve a large rural community - supporting individuals and families in Derbyshire and beyond. We strive to prevent abuse by raising awareness and promoting change that lasts.

Accommodation Worker


Hours: up to 37 hours per week (part-time hours available)
Salary: £29,541 pro rata (Scale point 12, rising within NJC Scale 5 with successful annual appraisal)

Term: 12 months. While this role is initially to cover a period of maternity leave, due to business growth there may be potential for this position to become a permanent, full-time role.


Base: Glossop (working with clients in our accommodation settings across High Peak and Derbyshire Dales)


Closing date: 10:00 am, Monday 20th July
Interviews: Week commencing 27th July

What the role involves:

  • Supporting young people aged 16-24 who are victims and survivors of domestic abuse

  • Delivering one-to-one support in a refuge setting

  • Helping survivors to rebuild confidence, independence, and safety

  • Working flexibly to meet the needs of the service

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of supporting vulnerable people, ideally in a safeguarding or support setting

  • Empathy, resilience, and the ability to build trust with survivors

  • A flexible approach - no two days are the same

  • A full driving licence and access to a car (mileage reimbursed)
