A Spanish feast was served up this week for 50 Glossop residents to raise funds for Crossroads Derbyshire.
Volunteers made paella, patatas bravas, garbanzo bean stew and salad, followed by a choice of cakes for the meal, held at Glossop Labour Club.
The event raised £138.00 for the charity, and the money will be used to support the charity’s work in the High Peak and north Derbyshire.
Crossroads Derbyshire (formerly High Peak Women’s Aid) provides safe accommodation and outreach work for families from across the High Peak and further afield who are experiencing or have escaped domestic abuse. The charity works with over 600 individuals each year to help them stay safe and to build a future free from abuse.
Crossroads Derbyshire would like to say a huge thank you to Glossop Labour Club, all the volunteers who baked cakes, washed up, chopped vegetables and served up, and also a big thanks to all the donors who contributed vegetables and paella pans. It was great to see so many people there on the night supporting the work we do.
