Fig Creative announced as Company of the Year

Crossroads Derbyshire is delighted to launch a brand new fundraising partnership!

We are delighted to announce that Glossop-based Fig Creative are our Company of the Year for 2015.

Crossroads Derbyshire (formerly High Peak Women’s Aid) provides safe accommodation and outreach support for families from across the High Peak and further afield who are experiencing or have escaped domestic abuse. The charity works with over 600 individuals each year to help them stay safe and to build a future free from abuse.

The charity decided to introduce a Company of the Year scheme to focus our limited resources on supporting one corporate partner each year. For 2015 Crossroads has invited Fig Creative, based in Glossop, to partner with them to make the best use of fundraising, volunteering and support. The company will be involved in the charity’s events, press coverage and will feature in our annual report. Staff have also agreed to help out with any volunteering opportunities that come up through the year.

As Company of the Year, Fig Creative have pledged to support the charity in all sorts of ways, from baking to gardening to creative support.

So far, Fig Creative have:

  • designed and printed a charity calendar
  • organised a bake sale and raised £250
  • provided technical web support free of charge
  • promoted the charity to customers and suppliers.

Before the end of the year, they will:

  • organise a charity fashion show
  • provide design work free of charge to help the charity’s fundraising
  • provide a team of staff to help with gardening and rubbish clearance at our domestic abuse refuge.

Vicky Burnage, Business & Operations Officer for Crossroads Derbyshire said: “We’re so excited to launch this new fundraising initiative with Fig Creative. They have been able to offer us so much more than just fundraising, and their skills have really benefited our charity in so many ways.

Crossroads Derbyshire are now inviting companies to be our Company of the Year 2016. For more information contact Vicky on 01457 899438.
